Disorders In Children” A diagnosis of ADHD is usually made only when

 

a child is older than 6 years of age although symptoms may

 

occur earlier. This to me points to the fact that up to 2 years of formal primary schooling may be wasted on a child with ADHD, surely more research must be don’t on ADHD to be more primitive for the Childs cognitive and social benefits. For ADHD is huge bearing so on a child’s social development and if they have to repeat a school year or are separated from their peers they may well loose out or be more prone to behaviourally disorder.
