I note on the reading lists that there are extensive non web based readings. I am assuming that one needs to access these books from a library. Is there a library associated with cpdbytes that one can join?

Unfortunately, only the reading where a web address is supplied is available online, and we are unable to offer a text library.

Many of the books suggested are available in schools, but I do realise that not everyone will have access to these.

Thomson M 2007 Supporting Dyslexic Pupils in the Secondary Curriculum Edinburgh Dyslexia Scotland is available online free to members of Dyselxia Scotlandhttp://www.supportingdyslexicpupils.org.uk/)

Most materials should be available in your local library, but they may have to order them from another branch.  Most are also available from Amazon - sometimes at a greatly reduced price.  The most useful books for those wishing to buy one or two texts are:

Peer L & Reid G (2003) – Introduction to Dyslexia London David Fulton

Thomson M (2008) Supporting Students with Dyslexia at Secondary School Abingdon, Oxon: Routledge

On the new website we are now working on having a book section. Where we can they will be eBooks or links to where these are availble for sale.
